From R.J.
The rest of the year looks as though we're gonna be pretty busy traveling.
I look
forward to meeting a bunch of new folks in different parts of the country.
I am
very excited about filming Red Steagall's "Back In The Bunkhouse"
show. I'll
be filming two shows which I'm told will air four times. It'll be good
to see Red and
all the boys in the bunkhouse. We're gonna debut a couple of new songs
from our
upcoming CD. Speaking of which we'll be heading back to Nashville to
finish the
vocal tracks on the CD. They're are some GREAT pickers on this project
and can't
wait for ya'll to give it a listen.
We've been having fall weather around here as late so it's been really nice
in the panhandle. I've been needing to buy some more pairs since
April. It seems
cattle always go up when I want to buy and go down when I need to sell.
Why is
that?
A short note:
George Tidwell played the trumpet tracks on "Long Live The Texas Rangers".
It's a
Marty Robbins style song I wrote. He said "Marty would be proud".
George should
know because he played on many of Marty's biggest hits. I wish Marty
were around to
sing it. It's a tribute to the Texas Rangers. Texas Ranger Phil
Vandygriff liked it so that
is good enough for me.
Hope to see you down the trail, keep the coffee hot and tighten your cinch.
Until then.........remember
"an honest politician ain't nothing but a lie
and the world's gone to hell since
John Wayne died"
